A Celebration of Creativity and Patriotism: Regional ArtShow Honors America’s 250th Anniversary
The Pender Arts Council proudly hosted A Celebration of Creativity and Patriotism, the North Carolina First in Freedom Festival Regional Art Show, honoring the upcoming 250th Anniversary of the United States.
The juried exhibition, held in Burgaw, brought together winning artists from across eight counties—Bladen, Brunswick, Columbus, Duplin, New Hanover, Onslow, Sampson, and Pender—showcasing their work under the unifying theme of “Freedom.”
The art show was a gallery of talent. Each piece reflected unique perspectives on liberty, resilience, and community.
The exhibition was a remarkable opportunity to not only highlight the extraordinary talents of regional artists, but also to begin our county’s reflection on America’s 250th anniversary. Through art, we connect history, patriotism, and creativity.
The event also served as a prelude to the North Carolina First in Freedom Festival. This regional commemoration will take place in 2026, marking over 250 years of American history, culture, and freedom.
The Pender Arts Council extends gratitude to the participating artists, community partners, and visitors who helped make this celebration possible. Plans are already underway for future exhibits and programs that will continue the journey toward 2026.
