Discover the courageous stories of Black North Carolinians who helped secure America’s independence — including several with connections to the Wilmington area.

Museum Educator Trevor Freeman will explore the lives, service, and enduring legacy of Black soldiers from North Carolina who fought for American independence. The presentation will spotlight individuals with personal connections to the Wilmington area, bringing their stories to life.

A Q&A session will follow, offering an opportunity for further discussion.
