NC FIFF at Latimer House features original documents by 3 Founding Fathers.
During the First in Freedom Festival Week, Latimer House will serve as a Passport Site. The day tours will include the opportunity to view documents of the Founding Fathers, including: an original document granting permission to a ship in Wilmington to sail to Jamaica, signed by Thomas Jefferson and James Madison from 1807, and a rare copy of Washington's "Farewell Address," whose twin hangs in the U.S. Senate. The tour will also feature new research on the American Revolution and the Latimer and Savage families.
