The Sampson County History Museum will host special guests, speakers, refreshments, music, and open museum buildings for those wishing to tour. Everyone is invited to this free event.10:30 a.m. Posting of Colors by the Sons of the American Revolution at Clinton City Hall
Special guest: Secretary Pamela Brewington Cashwell, N.C. Dept. of Natural & Cultural Resources. - 11 a.m. - Speaker Jack Fryar, author and historian on the Revolutionary War in Southeastern N.C.
11:30 a.m. - Speaker Nancy Chavis, Director/Curator of the Museum of Southeast American Indian and Speaker Cory Brewington, Coharie Tribal Historian, both speaking on the Native American Contribution to the American Revolution.
Afterwards refreshments will be provided on the museum grounds by the Richard Clinton Chapter of DAR; music by the Dulcimer Ensemble of First Methodist Church and Mrs. Barbara Bullard, violinist.
