Visit Colonial Topsail

Come meet #flatcornelius, sign your John Hancock on the Declaration of Independence, come meet Thomas Jefferson!

The Historical Society of Topsail Island will kick off the nation’s 250th birthday celebration with a day of activities recreating life in colonial North Carolina. The event, held both inside and outside the Historic Assembly Building, will feature colonial food and drink, performances, live demonstrations, speakers, and hands-on children’s activities.

The Missiles & More Museum will be open, featuring the history of Topsail Island and exhibits on the Tuscarora Indians and the pirates who visited the islands in the 1700s. Businesses in Topsail Beach will also take part in the day's festivities. We encourage you to bring your family and immerse yourselves in this historical experience at Topsail Beach.
